Delivery times
We aim to fulfill and dispatch all orders in stock within 1-3 working days. Once we’ve sent the order, the delivery time will depend on the destination and any external circumstances. We send all our parcels through Australia Post. Please visit their website to find out their estimated delivery times.
Ordered items with 0 stock
Items on order are available at the distributor. As soon as we receive an order we make a request to the distributor to provide the item. This usually takes 2 – 3 business days. When we recieve the item we will send it to you immediately. Please allow for 7 – 10 working days for ordered items with 0 stock.
If the item is not available at the distributor – or if it will take longer than usual, we will contact you and issue a refund on request.
Shipping costs
We ship anywhere in Australia for a flat rate of $10.95, with free shipping on orders over $120. Want to add a personalised message? Choose gift wrapping for $13.95 and leave your note in the order comments.
Need it in a hurry? Express post is available within Australia for parcels under 3kg at $16.00, with free express shipping on orders over $200.
We also ship internationally for a flat rate of $35.00. All international deliveries are sent through Australia Post, so for estimated freight and delivery times please visit their website: auspost.com.au/sending/send-overseas. Please note that shipping estimates on large orders, including large international orders, may be revised.
Book subscriptions come with shipping included in the rate, no extra cost.

Redeeming gift cards & online gift vouchers
The Chestnut Tree Bookshop accepts Australian Booksellers Association gift cards. Simply enter the barcode on the back of your gift card or the barcode on your online voucher when you proceed through checkout.
